Unlikely Bedfellows: US and Iran on the Laws of War

In a post on Global Policy’s blog today I try to puzzle through how two very different countries — the USA and Iran — end up with similar positions on the Arms Trade Treaty process, the landmine ban, cluster munition ban, 1977 Additional Protocols and Rome Statute.
