US State Dept. Quick Reaction Force Contract Awarded to DynCorp
The US State Department announced that its Quick Reaction Force, for emergency operations involving “the removal or mitigation of explosive hazards to protect civilian populations”, will be operated by private security contractor DynCorp International. The contract has a value of up to $12 million over five years.
The contract for what was previously called the Quick Reaction Demining Force, had been implemented by RONCO Consulting Corporation since 2000, with operations conducted in Mozambique, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Iraq
